DENNIS, I LIVE IN SAN JOSE TOO. DID YOU INSTALL THE HELIBARS ON YOUR BIKE WITH THE THROTTLEMIESTER? PLEASE RESPOND AND TELL ME IF YOU DID. I'M TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT PARTS I NEED TO INSTALL ON HELIBARS VERSES THE STOCK BARS? I ALSO HAVE NEW RUBBER GRIPS TO PUT ON TOO.HELP ME IF CAN BEFORE I TEAR THIS ALL APART!!!!

Yes, I have the Heli Bars too. They install fairly easy. The only "mod" required is to relocate the choke cable to the other side of the steering head. The instructions from Heli are quite clear about that. The bars are 100% compatible with a Throttlemeister, but I did the install without changing over to their replacement throttle sleeve, nor did I have to modify the stock Suzuki factory sleeve.

If you are planning a ride this weekend, let me know. Perhaps we could meet up at Alice's. I would like to meet some other local owners and go on a ride together. I know there are several others with Busas in our area. Anybody else out there who would like to meet up at Alice's this weekend?

DENNIS, I WILL BE RIDING THIS WEEKEND FOR SURE, PROBABLY SAT & SUN, I GO UP TO ALICES ALOT, NOT 100% SURE WHAT MY PLANS ARE RIGHT NOW, BUT I'LL TRY TO LET YOU KNOW! WHAT COLOR IS YOUR BIKE? WHEN ARE GOING UP THERE? DO YOU KNOW? I'D LIKE TO SEE YOUR HELIBARS ETC..THANKS FOR THE INFO. WHAT ABOUT WASHERS AND SHIMS? HOW MANY DID YOU USE? AND DID YOU CHANGE YOUR GRIPS OR PUT THE STOCK BACK ON?

Dennis, looks like I'll should be up there in the morning to early afternoon, I have to be in S.F early to mid afternoon, I to have red/grey 00, I'll look for you!I want to check your bike out too!

I'm planning on being up at Alices probably early this afternoon today or tomorrow. I'll keep an eye open.

I have a Red/Gray Y2K, with same color tank bra and V&H Ti Oval Slip Ons. These particular cans look very nice on the bike and give it a deeper exhaust sound at the tail pipe openings.

I reused my stock grips with the Heli Bars. No need to replace them. I can't remember the number of shims and washers used, but again the key is to leave the stock throttle sleeve intake and add some rubber o-rings at the end between the outer lip and the end weight Throttlemeister assembly. Be glad to show you mine. Do you want to meet at Alices this weekend?

I will be at Alice's around 11:30am this Sunday. Hope to see you there Hayawoody.
