Yea, I saw that too and wondered why he had to relist it. According to ebay, when you bid you're entering a legally binding contract. . . He should have gotten the money the first time, regardless of whether or not the guy WANTED to pay him.
i just got screwed out of 2 busas recently on ebay. the legal crap had nothing to do with ebay motors. Ive seen all of the stuff on there but I spoke with a ebay spokesperson over the phone and they told me that there is nothing I can really do but dispute and give negative feedback. as a seller if you get screwed you can offer it to next in line or get your listing fees back....
I won't look there anymore for a big purchase though. In the past I had purchased 3 cars and 2 bikes from ebay.
