getting shafted is the question. lol. i am debating whether to polish the bus out or not. has anyone went to mirror image? i e-mailed them and they said around $3,000!!! for complete polish!!When you guys do that are you basically just throwin that money out when you go to sell?? If its that big of a sham im thinkin of not even doin it. any suggestions??

MH, you didn't reply to My e-mail.

C-rod, I just live in Indiana...bring your bike to Me and I'll do the complete job for $1,000.

:)

frank, my list: pegs(mounts), passengers, swingarm, frame(topyolk too), inside rotors, fork tubes, calipers. i think they chrome the caliper mounts on the forks , and rims . how much will that run??

frank my list: polish frame(top yolk too), swingarm, all pegs/mounts, fork tubes, calipers, inside rotors, IM pretty sure they chrome the caliper mounts, gas cap, and i need rims dipped. how much.

$3k sounds a little much, although I wonder who you emailed since I know Mirror Image doesn't have an email account. They did my frame, swingarm, and footpegs, etc. for just over $1k...Not to mention it also helps the re-sale value a lot. Look at a stock bike and then look at a polished bike with chrome wheels. The polished bike will sell for a couple grand more everytime. Also it's what you want yourself, I can't stand a stock bike myself! I don't want anyone else to have a bike that looks just like mine. Which is the reason I've spent so much money on the damn bike to make it look good.

By the way call Ronnie @ Mirror Image 734-547-0422 and tell him Ken off the internet said to call and you would hook me up...

sorry for the fkd up messages. the computer wasnt workin good last night.Gsxrboy , you know what it wasnt mirror image. it was reflections!! thanks for the info, i will make my decision after i catch up with you at miland or royal oak and see yours. Oh by the way frank, yeah i want the full job.

hey gsxrboy, around how long will it take for turnaround in the winter?Since i will prob. be screwin with the bike i was thinkin about doin it in pieces. (i dont like the idea of people takin apart forks, swingarm, ect.) i planned on gettin the frame done. then taking in rims , swingarm, forks, calipers ect. do you think i could do it like that.

C-rod, before we go on.... My frame is polished now and I'm having it chromed this winter.

Have you seen a Busa with a chromed frame yet?

You can't beat it!

You could do it like that or just drop the whole bike off for 2-3 days and have it all done. The winter depends on what's going on you would have to call and ask him on that one. Last winter he had a million bikes in the shop, were he only had a handfull right now because everyone is out riding. He just did mine a few weeks ago. He did the frame and swingarm in a day. Call him up and see what he says...

frank , i have talked to some people about that. thier are some discrepincies in opinions.Did you notice how the frame tends to get really hot sometimes? someone i have seen with it done was starting to peel. i was gonna get everything chromed but decided against it for that reason.Plus i dont feel like tearin the bike totally apart.

the other idea i had was to get just the frame polished and chrome everything else. swingarm, footrests, ect. will that match up with the polish job or will it look "shinier" than the polish?
