Disc lock AKA fender eliminator

Hey all; yep I! forgot the disc lock on the bike. Luckily I was backing up and not accelerating! I have one of those locks that go audible when it senses vibration, I did'nt hear it because of all the loud engines at the speedway. Hopefully it can be repaired !

+1 on the roadlok... thats another reason I got one. came close to doing the same thing a few times when I'd get out of my normal routine, plus you never have to worry about forgetting to bring it, and they look great too! glad all it was was a cracked fender and not a tweaked rotor.

LOL !!!!  DUDE

.....did the same thing "twice" with two different Xena rotor locks(not at the same time, of course).........peeled them right oiff with Hayabusa low end torque.  "DOH !!!"......Just replaced front rotors, and now have a lanyard which I wrap around the frame slider (I'm getting older, visual reminder is very helpful)...........also.....get an alarm "NOW" or kiss your Busa goodbye....especially here in Vegas..............

Too many kids/squids running in the clubs lookin' for a reason to steal your ride.........get a pager-alarm NOW.........right NOW....NOT LATER....NOW !!!!!.......

almost did that once

i have not used the disc lock since then

Locks should go on the rear totor anyway, with a lanyard over the seat for a reminder, but definately on the rear. The forks are locked so what good does a non alarmed disc lock do on the front rotor? It has to be lifted to be stolen. Make it harder for the thieves by making them have to carry the entire bike instead of just the front end...on the way into their van or up their loading ramp. Sorry about your fender.

The disc lock is an alarmed one, and it didnt come with a laynard. I guess it was thought it would go audible before you started moving the bike. It did go off; but my surroundings were just too loud to hear. I've only started using a disc lock since I got my Busa, but usually see them on the front. Thanks for the advise everyone...live and learn!!

"NOW" you need a introduction in the new owner's section with pics please, it's da
