DIY OBD Dashboard

Hey, I've been seeing these posts where people connect 2 pins to get FI codes etc.

Now if I'd do this, will the engine run?

If so, would it be possible to connect a 6 pin male together to get it's functionality as well?

So put the bike in permanent dealer mode and connect the 6 pin you see on the picture.

Basically I want to connect a OBD on my bike so I can have a dashboard running on my phone.

hi @Qaiss

hard conn of the two wires i guess won´t be a good idea i guess

better you install a switch (somewhere around the sppedo or so) and lead its two wires to the board-connector

to install a kind of OBD like in cars etc. i guess is not possible.

Thanks!

I've found out it's physically possible to combine a dealer mode switch with an OBD cable.

But software-based it's not do-able due to the SDS protocol of Suzuki, as Greg from boostbysmith says.

Although, I have seen posts on other forums, people reverse engineering protocols for other bikes. Maybe one day.
