DMV inspection

gotta pass the inspection for my bike and I have d&d bolt-ons.
Does anyone knows if it can make me fail the inspection?
Or should I go over the trouble of reinstalling the oem pipe?

I have read several post about DMV inspections what do they do and how often do they have to do it. I live in California and the DMV never looks at the bike ever. They just send you your annual registation bill and thats about it.???

No problem. Before i put my muzzy system on i had the yosh rs 3 slip ons. Passed with flying colors

Florida has Nothin No inspections, No emissions, nothing... go figure...

in jersey,
it crazy regarding cars
to check everything, emission, breaking, all lights
you name it.
I would tend to think that it is different for a motorcycle since
I would never allow someone else to 'test' my bike

Hmm... I might consider just sapping the stock cans back on, unless you get a better answer from someone else in Jersey... Who knows, 15 minutes work on your end might save you some hassle and aggravation.

Here in Vt we just have a safety inspection, nothing about emissions or pipes, they leave the noise thing up to the PoPo to decide.

here in Jersey City,
you need to do something really stupid for the police to stop you.
they will let you go on a wheelee if let say you are going in the oposite direction of a busy street.
They to much sh!t going on.

No problem, I just passed with bolt ons. My friend at DMV who passed me said they don't care or inspect pipe issues what so ever. All they check is paperwork,lights,blinkers,and horn. I've had previous bikes done at other DMV'S and no problems. I'm down in Jackson(Great Adventure Area), We should get together. We have some good roads down here. That invitation is for anyone else who is fairly local....

Ok i think I have it now... To be honest I've never had a bike inspeced... I renew my tag every year, but the only inspection sticker i've ever seen is the one that came it from the dealer, and I've never been stopped for it r even asked about it when I was stopped

in NJ new cars get inspected after 4 years after that I think it every 2 years.
I'll give them a buzz.

Jersey is ridiculous when it comes to inspections. It just depends on who ya get. I had a 400+ horse 300ZX pass and my CBR600 with a full race system and integrated blinkers go right through. My stock jeep failed cause I didn't have the doors on it and my Lincoln MkVIII failed because of tint. Go figure. Anyhow, if you have a problem shoot up to the Atlantc City area and we'll swing by a shop that'll hook you up free. They're real cool with bikes.

We do have to get an inspection done on base every year, but they just check light's, horn, and blinker fluid.
