....when you switch wiring harnesses?
I've put a 06 wiring harness on my 02, and the gauges act haywire now. I've got both the original 02 gauge cluster , and one off a 99 ~ 00 bike. Both will start to act up just a short distance after I start out. The needles freeze in whacked positions until I can disconnect and reconnect the plug on the back of the gauges. When I do that, the gauges go back to working right for a short period, but always go back haywire not long after I start moving again. The bike runs fine otherwise.
I just checked all the connections on the harness, and everything is tight.
Is the differences between the 02 and 06 wiring harness such that I need to put a gauge cluster off a 04 ~07 on it?
