i want to get one of those pocket rockets like on that lasvegas extremes video. the last time i checked they were like $12,000! does any one out here have one?how fast do they go? cant you by performance parts? ive seen duc. honda. what about baby bus? am i just stupid- YES!

You would be better off if you could find a 87-93 YSR-50 because they are street legal and fun to take up to the twisties, plus they use to cost $1,300 new and you can beef them up to go up to 90mph not bad for a 2 stroke 50cc engine that can be pumped up to 70,80,90 or a 100cc. The pocket rockets cost around $2,400 for a good one

Another alternative to the YSR would be the Aprilia RS50. Bigger than the YSR's, it's sized so that an adult can ride one (even me at 6'4" and 285 didn't *quite* crush it) and it weighs aboout 200 pounds. 6 speed gearbox, decent forks and shock, nice cast wheels and tires, killer looks...painted up like a factory race bike. Stock, they dyno out at about 7 or 8hp but you can get a hop up kit from Aprilia which takes it to 80cc and about 13-15hp. $3500.00 for the bike itself new.

Checkout minibikes with your web browser. I was gonna buy 1 they range from 1200 to 3900 depending what kind ya want. As for the YSR LOL had on it did an honest 55 with my 230lb *** on it. But..... if its a special racer you want I'll tell ya what ya want. Almost bought one right before the busa. It's a Honda NSR50 or 80. I found a guy at minibike site that imports them. They are'nt toys like the YSR(6 month after i had my YSR I stuffed a YZ125 motor in it) but the Hondas are very very special. To get 1 you have to send half the 4500 cash wait between 2weeks to 2 months depending if you want a brand new one or slightly used. These are pure performance bikes ! The 50 tops out around 8 mphs & the 80 well exceed 100 mph! its an awsume collector bike! you can see pictures at the mini bike place . If you can't find them E-mail me @ Hayawiz@aol.com or WizsBusa@aol.com and Ill find them again & give ya the IP address only 1 person imports the NSR's & they have ta go find them!

Another cool mini racer is the not very well known, Kawasaki AR-80.
It's also made in the 50 CC version.

It reminds me of a kz 305

Ok CRODm here ya go guy just because our busa relationships lol try this

How cool! tell me if ya get one! I've seen 10 diff. styles I think the Duc 996 or the Aprilla were the coolest! One site (Can't rem. where ! show theirs in detail disc brakes everything its awsume
Good Luck! P.S. Did you get a price???
E-Mail me Hayawiz@aol.com or WizsBusa@aol.com

I don't know how fast the 50cc bikes are but I can tell you that a Honda RS125 will surprise the crap out of you. Once on the boil (above 11,000 rpm) it will stay with supersport 600s on acceleration and its fun picking any line you wnat through a corner.

Of coarse the power still ain't quite busa territory...

Anyone remember the Honda MB5? I road tested one when they were new. I had no fear of a 50cc two stroke in a full sized bike, so I got on it,pinned the throttle, and when the engine got up to redline, I dumped the clutch. Damned thing stood straight up. I'd like to strap one of those pocket bikes across the back of my Bus as a substitute for tire plugs and CO2 cartridges. How much are they again? I saw the 50cc Aprillia recently, and it is beyond cool. Made neat noises with an aftermarket expansion chamber and carbon fiber silencer. Guy would not race me. Or maybe he was, I don't know. I rode another mini-bike recently, but I didn't care for it too much. It was a 2000 GSXR-600. I pedaled it as fast as I could, and it was like watching paint dry waiting for it to get up to 14,500 rpm so I could shift. It finally crept up to an indicated 160mph, but it's a good think I wasn't late for work or something.
