my question is,do i have to attach any springs on the exhaust flanges where the header bolts up to the head? i have installed the whole pipe and have 4 springs left. P.S. micron did not send me any instructions with the pipe. all else has gone well. please help bill

the flanges shure look like they might take some springs. there are the 2 holes where the header bolts pass through, and immediately to the left and right of the header bolt hole there 2 more smaller holes. what are they used for? respectfully bill

GEE WIZZ GUYS,keep your shirts on ofcourse it was an oversite. Micron recieved an e mail from me last night, and called to help with the install 7am. this morning. No kidding, the tech (Doug)even faxed me over all 3 pages of the installation instructions.Yes again it was an oversite on my part to state that I did not recieve instructions from Micron, when I meant to say my friend did not send me any instructions with the pipe.My sincerest apology Micron.

Bill: We have come across your post, and find that you have not been very forthright in your comments. Below is your email to us this morning, we think it should be noted that Micron did not leave out the instructions, and we hope that given our immediate assistance yesterday to you via the phone, including faxing you a complete set of instructions, that your comments regarding our product attention to detail was simply an oversight on your part...

"...hello guys i have a question regarding an install on my 99 hayabusa. i do not have any instructions as i purchased the pipe from a friend who smashed his bike. i have installed the entire pipe on my bike, but i have 4 springs left over. i believe these springs are somehow installed on the exhaust flanges where the pipe bolts to the head. could some one lend their expertise and tell me where they belong.
Respectfully bill ..."

PS - The springs are extra's, there are no springs between the flange and the pipework.

Quality pipe backed up by the best tech dept. around...I`ve had many conversations with micron over the past year and they do back thier product...

Tee Hee, Nice one Micron!

I must admit I've always found Micron support to be second-to-none and very friendly (especially John Charlesworth)

Remember big brother is watching - well Micron anyway! :)

AGREED !!!
you guys got right back with me with prices and part #'s when i smoked my can in a wreck.
i bought my pipe from a fellow board member and didnt get instructions but you guys made installation so cut and dry i just about consider instructions a waste of paper !

you guys are great !!! <crazy bill>

wanna have some fun.....take the packing out of it ! sounds awsome !!!!! some say too loud but i love it . had to re-pack mine though after deciding it attracted jus alittle too much attn. from jonny law .

Micron was outstanding with support! I believe cbxchris, myself and several others received the first lot of pipes for the Hayabusa. There were a couple rough points, but they corrected them quickly(thicker head pipe flanges). **** , they even sent someone out to my house since i lived relatively close to their shop at the time. Got a couple nice shirts in process as well.
Keep up the support.
Doug? are you the same Doug that was at Banzai motorsports?
Bob
