Doing something cool on memorial day

My dad is a retired Master Chief Petty Officer and I am Chief Petty Officer (Navy for those of you who don't know). There is a historic train here that runs south for about 80 miles and then comes back. Tomorrow all veterans active and retired ride for free. The train stops at 2 National Cemetaries and a Memorial. At the half way point, there is a huge picnic lunch, then every one gets back on the train and comes home. My dad, my son (he's 12) and I are going on the veteran's trip. I will be taking pictures to post after the fact.

Thanks to all who have served or are serving. One of my favorite bumper stickers says this,

"If you love your freedom, don't thank a politician, thank a veteran".

Thanks for all you do and have done in the military; I'm glad that you are able to spend time with your father and your son. Sounds like some neat activities for all.
