What they are doing right now is trying to show the masses that Capitalism is a failure. With all of their mudslinging of CEO's and large corporations they are setting the foundation for govt. control of the private sector. IE a HUGE step closer to socialism.

Barney Fudd can't stop reminding us that the GOVT now OWNS 80% of AIG (former private co.) and that "they should use their new power to punish and take back bonuses" this is an underlying ploy to show US that the govt can run the private sector better and all coruption and useless spending will stop. sorry had to laugh

THIS GROUP IS TRYING TO OWN AND RUN EVERYTHING! Should this NOT concern us AT ALL?

Why dont they care about fannie mae bonuses or freddy mac bonuses or any of the other banks we bailed out. All of them had bonuses to give out. At least this one was contractually obligated for over a year.

What do you want us to do? ...

Honestly, what can we do to stop the government from doing what ever they want?

Honestly we can't do anything but try to slow them down. Look it worked with the Veteran health care thing. He announced today he will agree to abandon to policy.

As with all administrations there are things they don't want us to know. It doesn't matter if your democrat or republican it's common knowledge the vas majority of media is liberal. So of coarse they are going to not air the unflatering events of their own kind and attack anyone who apposes them.

So with that said if you want to get ALL the story you have to now listen to the conservative stations and radio. This is where you hear all that the liberal media and the president DOESN'T want you hear. Think about it...IF the conservative media was lieing...don't you think the liberals would be ALL OVER IT and be the first ones to say LIER LIER here's the truth...but they don't. They just continue with the distractions and count on the fact that most coverage is in their own favor and that will get their agenda accomplished.

Listen Don, I don't not respect you but if there was anything I would ask of you...is to take a step back and from a birds eye watch and listen to the people talking against him and see how they respond. If Obama nor his boys rebutle anything than that should be a huge clue that there may be some truth to it.

And before you say "The president is above debating citizens or attacking them" do a little search on that. He's actually the first president to launch a group who's sole purpose is to attack a talk show personality. And still doing it. They even have a campaign to put up billboards to mock Rush Limbaugh.

NO MATTER WHO'S IN OFFICE, YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO THE CRITICS TO GET THE TRUTH SOMETIMES:beerchug:

Here's where this now gets realy scary for me. In February, the White House put the language in the stimulous package to allow the AIG execs to get paid their bonuses. Now there is public outcry and people want heads to roll. So in walks Obama with his "buck stops here" speach and his plan to tax those bonuses at a 90% rate to get the money back for the tax payers. Our hero, or is he? It depends on the language of the tax law that gets passed. Will it be limited to AIG, every company that received bail out money, or everyone who receives bonuses? Is this a well orchestrated manuver to get public support for outragous taxes? Time will tell.

0-10% of my income is from bonuses. Difference here are mine are tied to both company performance and my personal performace that year. There are no guarantees.

For those who think nationalization is a good idea, the goverment owned 80% of AIG before Feb when the changes were made to allow the bonuses for the execs. Seems to me like like some kickbacks from the White House for campain contributions. And the Government can take our money to pay for these things, it doesn't come out of the companies profits.

Simple Chris. Dodd and Franks got special treatments and mortgage deals not to mention political contributions from both.

Liberals can do no wrong. Just watch them.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac control almost 50 percent of all mortgages in the United States. They were started by Democrats, protected by Democrat, funded by Democrats, and absorbed into the government proper at the behest of their paid hacks in the Democrat party.

Conservatives have advocated the demolition of these twin towers of corruption, fraud, and bribery for decades. But Democrats blocked every attempt to even hold hearings on corruption in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Well it's about time! I knew this for months.

After first denying it, Dodd admitted he agreed to a request by Treasury Department officials to dilute an executive bonus restriction in the big economic stimulus bill that Congress passed last month. The change to Dodd's amendment allowed AIG to hand out the bonuses and sparked a blame game between Dodd and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner.

He's also under investigation by a Senate ethics panel for mortgages he got from Countrywide Financial Corp., the big lending company at the center of the mortgage crisis.
