120 is the tire tread width
70 indicates that the sidewall is 70% of the tread width
17 indicates the wheel diameter (ID)
if you go to a 60, it means the sidewall is going to be 60% of the tread area
so you end up with a "shorter" or "lower" profile..
I am not sure how this would affect the handling of the bike but on cars, it tends to "stiffen" up the tire .. less sidewall, less deflection on corners..
With the 70 series the front of your bike will sit almost .5" higher than it does with the 60. Im not a huge corner carver, but i think going to the 70 series will make the bike turn better too. So unless your into all out drag racing I wouldnt get another 60. I have one on my bike and I think it looks funny.
