Draggin Jeans

I wear them when I'm on the cruiser (VTX 1300). They look and wear just like jeans but they have a kevlar lining. They definitely are warmer to wear than regular jeans; the kevlar acts like insulation. They are very comfortable and I had no problems wearing them on all-day rides.

They do not have any kind of impact protection like foam or pads but they would definitely last longer than jeans if you went sliding.

The size for me was exactly what I wear in Levi's.

I have had two pair, one pair were tested on a crash I had back in Feb of 07. it was a low speed, below 35 mph I slid and tumbled. the jeans held up great to the sliding and tumbling but they were torn on the rear footpegs as I came off the bike. both my pants came with removeable knee pads that are CE certified.

The pants are comfortable and come long so when your sitting on the bike you legs actually cover your boots. very nice. would definately recommend them to someone to buy.

Thanks for the input, I have put my order in and I will have a pair next week.

Thanks again.

They are not as good as leathers of course. But I wrecked in Sept 04 in Draggin Jeans, I was doin about 50-60 the denim is about twice as heavy as Levi's and still it blew out allmost immediately. The entire rear section was hanging down but the yellow Kevlar under that held up and literally saved my butt.

I also highly recommend the armor for the knee's and or other areas, even with the armor my right knee was pretty sore for a month or so, without the armor I am certain I would have blown out my knee cap.

I thought this thread was about these Dragging Jeans!

Just got mine in Let me say these are way more heavy than my Icon pants. The armor placement takes a bit of fine tuning but thats my only gripe. These are well made pants and I would recommend them

i love the "silver back" style. they fit great and i have the knee armor for added security.

would love to own a pair but the holidays are coming up...you know what that means, food food food...don't want to buy a pair gain/loose weight and pay that much.

I have a pair, and find that they are slightly warmer than regular jeans. I also find that they are more comfortable when worn with long boxers or such underneath. I guess the Kevlar chafes my tender skin, LOL! I might also add, that in my case, they run smaller than my regular jeans. I wear 38s in my Dickies painter jeans, but wear 40s in the Draggin jeans. YMMV. I really like the external pockets - great for cell phone, glasses, etc.

As far as protection, they are far better than regular jeans, but perhaps not quite as good as a good ballistic nylon, armored overpant. Over course, leathers are the pinnacle of protection.

I use them. Very good jeans and great fit. I would now go with the Kevlar under jeans lining so I could wear regular light wieght jeans. The Jean material doesn't do much as its all in the Kevlar. I don't have pads and realize that if I go down on a knee, my leg is toast. I have a pair of stretch pants with full padding but they are hot to wear under the Draggin Jeans.

Which stretch pants do you have Spkrdctr and do you actually have the kevlar under jeans lining? I'm curious just how thick/heavy that is compared to the jeans themselves. I have some mental handicap on grasping how that will protect as well as the jeans. I guess my thinking is that they probably skimp on the thickness of kevlar, because it's an entire pant made out of the stuff, rather than the impact points in the jeans.

BTW O/P, I have the Draggin' Jeans as well, they have held up well over the last three years, never been down on 'em, and they are heavy and feel well made. I like 'em
