Drain hose problem

Had the right side plastic off to do an oil change and noticed whatever was draining out of the tubes is causing the paint to bubble up and fall off the inside of the fairing. It is getting close to the back edge and could cause the paint to come off where it is noticable from the outside. I put a piece of high temp reflective tape over the spot but was wondering if any of you have had the same thing happen. Thought about relocating the tubes, but don't know where I could run them to cure the problem. Any idea why this is happening?

There were a few posts some time ago about this ... someone with an '04 LE posted pics. The dealer ended up covering it under warranty with a new panel. Someone else got the brush off with a ridiculous statement--"you're overfilling the gas tank." If you figure out where to route them, post a pic, 'cause it's a problem.

my 05 panel was replaced under warranty. Suzuki America knows of the problem and should warranty it with no issue. My paint never peeled but did yellow. Remedy is to replace panel and extend hoses 4" to 6".

Search for "SoBad" on 8/24/05 under "Technical," "Busa Problems." Title is "Anybody ever seen this?"

Hey, MB--when you say to extend it, where do you route the lines? Out the side towards the exhaust pipe, or down below, again near the exhaust pipe? (I noticed my buddies' 999 has both lines hanging about 2" beyond the bottom of the plastic.) Seems like Suzuki needs a finished hole through the bottom to route these lines away from the exhaust.
