Draining Gas Tank?

Want to get my tank painted and want to know the best way to drain all the gas out of the tank.

Pull the pump.

Prop the front of the tank up with the prop rod. Disconnect the fuel line at the metal fuel rail. Turn the key on and use the on/off switch to cycle the pump for a few seconds as you drain the gas into a gas can. Turn the switch off, then on again until the tank is empty. I've done this for years to flush out the MR 12 fuel after a race. Works great.

Clarification. It's a universal fuel pump (had it in my tool box & attached it to my car battery so it wouldn't drain my busa battery).

U can buy a cheap manual transfer pump and pull it out. I have one that I use to pull oil out of my mowers because the drain is in the wrong fn place!
