The Strands were near microscopic thinner than Hair -- the Magnetic plug was clean as a Whistle -- looked like some Microscopic residue thats all -- I took my Big Magnet & Ran it through all the oil -- picked up the small stuff --
Bike runs super & No Leaks. Did not look like
Aluminum. Looked darker ... like Near Black in color.

Did the Oil Change -- the Socket sure helped -- Now the Oil Level when straight up is Not Quite at the F mark, so 3.5 Quarts went in & came out so -- what gives? Do I add More Duh?
Or is the 3.5 Quarts not exact? I don't wanna do a ZX12.

I also ran a Magnet thru the oil to see what was there & got tiny shavings -- like this Hair, very few & three tiny micro pieces the size of the tip of a Pen.....am I over analyzing here?

Yep I changes the Oil Filter too -- used OEM
Suzuki & matches exactly.

Now I see why you need the socket to remove it --- two complete turns ain't that easy to do....unless you are related to a Gorilla.

Its a bugger aint it!! I thought I was going to strip the thing off!! (but the oil on the seal helps too...you did this?)which oil change service was it?

what was the drain plug like, did the magnet in that have anything on it?

Are the metal shrads, pen sized ones, are they steel or aluminium??

the black stuff could just be casting / flashings.

Would wait untill next oil change to start panicking!!

if you change filter as well, the oil required is more than just oil change.

and, the amount stamped into the engine casing if I am not mistaken, is different for '99 and '00 models. Mine says 3300ml. I put nearly 4L in with filter change to get it to the F mark

Nuts ;)

I have a '00 too, and I let it drain overnight on the rear stand, then put it on the side stand for a while, and again a few hours on the rear stand (it drains quite a bit more this way). Exactly 4 qts go in at the F mark (I never trust the amount stated on manuals). Make sure you don't put SJ car oil in it, not even synthetic.

Nope -- not on the angled sidestand.....& actaully had a person sit on a Level surface with a leveler on the bike.

So Instead of 3.5 Quarts for the 2000 Busa its 3.7 quarts?

I let the Bike sit overnight to bleeed all that nasty oil --

I also replaced the oil filter so I wil add more.

Aluminum is non-magnetic (non-ferrous), so the magnet would not have picked it up. The pieces were likely from the transmission, I don't think you have anything to worry about!
