Less than a month and went down on a 5mph turn. Thanks to slider only took out lower side fairing which is still useable and repairable. Scared me though. Totally unexpected. Not sure if it was an ill timed rev/downshift which made bike accelerate out from underneath me or too much lean for too low mph.

I replied to your other post. May I ask a question, were you blipping the throttle as you down shifted? With a bike that has this much torque I wouldn't think you would need to. I hope you are OK.

at those speeds washing out like that is usually due to sand or fluids in the road.

unless u JAMMED the front brakes on around a sharp corner it wud be pretty hard to just wash out at 5 mph. it surely isnt the rear thats goin out at those speeds. maybe u just hit some antifreeze. it does happen and ull never even see it.

were you geared up?

I also replied to your other thread in the crash forum. So the bike is new? I mentioned possibilities like sand gravel or (shudder) wet leaves in the road (like oiled glass). Maybe the front tire was not scrubbed from being new? Not being a fanboy but the busa has proven to me to be the most stable and predictable bike I have ever ridden. Very forgiving. I am interested in your story. Glad you are ok. I am as old as you, you are not an old man. Otherwise I would be an old man, and I ain't. plenty of older guys ride the big bird.

First off, I'm glad you're alright. Not sure what sort of revving (rev matching?) you'd be doing at 5 MPH? Was there supposed to be another digit with that 5?
