I was pulling into my friends cancer awareness car and bike show and pulled into the wrong driveway and when I stopped there was a kinda drop in the driveway and I tipped over.First time in 20 years I tipped over on the street.Dam I was mad but it only got the lower right fairing a bit.More embarrased than anything especially in front of a friend and some other bikers.Other then that had a good time ans went for a nice ride with a couple buddies. You know I didnt have my gremlin bell on yet.Its on there now. There was another busa there.Guy was in shorts, tanktop and nikes. Not a member on here yet.

Sorry about your tip over..at least the ride with friends was good.
I have been lucky so far...only ~22k miles or so total with a street bike, but so far no:banghead:

Glad the only thing hurt was your pride and nothing else! But hey, it happens. Dont ask me how I know . . .

Yeah I was embarassed.Couldnt avoid the drop in the driveway. Was able to sling that bike right up luckily. They blocked that driveway after that.Another guy wasnt as fortunate. He was on the last turn from the bike run/poker run and was kinda crowded in and took a spill into the curb.Got cut up and was gimping all day long. Now I have the excuse to have some custom paint done this winter.

Welcome to the club. When mine happened my trainee and Sgt helped pick it up.

Isn't it amazing how light your bike is when you drop it in front of your friends.

Me to.Just a bad string of luck I guess. The rest of the day went well.Hey dont these have tip over sensors that shut the bike off or is that GenII??

Well you just joined a big club. Usually newbies will get warned by several posters that the bike is heavy and once she starts a going she's gone. The second day I had my brand dang new '06 I dropped her at a stop sign. It was very, very minor. Never had it fixed. I laid her down as gently as I could, but i couldn't stop her

Happened to me twice: very low speed turn, wheel fully turned and then tapped the front brake --- down instantly.

Very surprising since I've had lighter bikes for 30 plus years and never experienced that.

I then watched a few YouTube videos on low speed maneuvering and now counterbalance, blip the throttle and use only the rear brake for low speed turning.

I was able to rub most of the scratch out last night.Doesnt look real bad.If I didnt stop and kept going, I would have been fine.I was able to slow the fall but not stop it because of the incline.

Actually rubbed it out and cant really notice it.Somehow I got white paint on there.Maybe a stripe on the driveway or it was the base coat not sure.It came out to where its nots an eye catcher so I am ok with it.

Dropped mine a few weeks ago. I was on an incline with a left to right slope also, I have taken off from there many times but this time it started going over and bam there it went. It has a custom paint job that cant be matched so I think im going to paint the whole bike this winter satin black. Cracked the right side fairing at the bolt where the frame sliders go pretty bad. I already found two used perfect fairings so I should be good to go. Needless to say im putting frame sliders on it now, should be here any day now. I had to wait for help by the way it was laying and me being 5'4 140 pounds picking it up wasnt going to happen:)

I learned my lesson quite a bit ago.....dropped mine, similar situation and I couldn't pick it up myself. Ricky Gadson and some of my friends helped me pick it up. I put race rails on it since. Now you can push it over and the slider puck is the only thing to touch the ground.
