I'm going to be in the market for the next season and am probably going with the Michelin PR6s to try them out...I was toying between the S22Rs or the PR6s....although I'm a big fan of Bridgestone I'll probably go with Michelin as the PR5s I have now have been great tires.

Looks Good
I been a fan of the Q series for a long time.
I have Q3's on my Busa now and will need a new set in the spring - so I'll
been looking into the Q4's or Q5's.
I'd stay away from the q4 unless your wanting a lot of sticky and not much mileage. They are an awesome tire for twisty's but don't last real long on the busa but if your pockets don't mind then it's a great tire. I'm real curious to see what everyone has to say about the q5 after some miles.

This^

I'm about to put what will be the 3rd set of Q3's on the '18 gsxr1k.
I also put Q4's on it last year.
The Q4's are great, but as said, sticky and low mileage, so we went back to Q3's.
So when a 1k eats Q4's quickly, you know Busa torque and weight will wear them out even quicker.
I still prefer a sport front and sport touring rear on a Busa, so they wear out at the same mileage.
I'm curious to see if the Q5 is closer to the Q3 or Q4 in stickieness and wear.

I'm just about ready to pull the trigger and order some Q5 tires for my Busa.

Tire dealer said the Q3 and Q4 are no longer available.

Also not sure what the difference is between the Q5 and the Q5s.

Has anyone out there used the Q5 tires yet and can report on how they worked and how they lasted?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Michelin has priced me out of buying their tires so I’m trying a Conti Attack for a front replacement next Tuesday. The Conti Motions are wearing well on the Kawasaki. I got just under 9,000 miles on the front PR2. Still have one on the rear (probably the last PR2 around) and I’ve really liked them for riding in all conditions. What did the Q5 run you back there? Looks good. Is it a dual compound?

I'm currently running p6s on mine and I love them I switched from the avalon after the back tire split after 11k miles the p6 are great for not so dry weather in my back yard we need a good wet tire. The backside of Mt Rainier can be a bit wet and cold at times in 60 degree weather I looked at the qs they seem better for dry weather conditions

I think I paid around $250 for the rear tire. I installed it myself - so no cost to change it.

I would assume it's multi-compound as it's their newest tire out. The "S" stands for street.

Ouch! That’s up there with Michelins and 50-100 more than the Contis. I’m gonna break the front in tomorrow if I feel up to it. Some days I wake up energized even though it doesn’t last very long. Other days I can instantly tell what kind of day it’s going to be. My surgeon reminded me that it’s only been six weeks so I’m taking it easy. I’ll try to stay on smooth roads. :)
