Andrew has been to Ducati in Italy 6 times in the last 10 months trying to shore up a deal with Ducati. He has also been in Italy for testing of their carbon fiber swingarm.
Don't know if I should mention this, especially before I get my wheels, but...seems like Mr. Marchesini wanted 1000 sets of the carbon fiber rims only from Andrew to place his inner spokes upon. Talks broke because he wouldn't let Dymag keep their logo on the rim. Guess who these wheels were going to?? Ducati of course.
Now that Mr. Marchesini can no longer deliver the wheels he promised for the 916 and 748, guess who just got the 8.1 million contract?? You got it, Dymag.
You heard it here first!!
Just to let you all know what kind of chap Andrew is, he spent money out of his own pocket for tooling and manufacturing costs to get this contract with Ducati. The CEO of Dymag told Andrew to his face he was full of s h i t and would never get this deal.
Now that he has done it, they are not compensating him for it!! Believe that crap?!?! Now who is full of s h i t Mr. CEO??
Anyway, I'd like to be the first to publicly congratulate Andrew for his due diligence. You've earned it.
