Ok I will admit this is for all those of us that have to start our day at stupid a.m, so I'll start. I have be up at 4 a.m. to be at the depot 8 a.m to set the training course out.:banghead:

4:30 every morning out the door at 5:45, going in early lets me get stuff done that you can't the rest of the day.

I wake at 5 in the winter and 2 or 3 in the summer depending how far out the job is. Always out the door in a 1/2 hour after waking.

I'll be seeing the 3a.m soon enough, next week I am at the bottom end of the country.:banghead:

When I'm working the hours vary. If they want concrete, we get it to them. Usual start time is 6, so up at 5, but we have coal mines that run 24/7, and some road work has to be done at night, depending on the levels of traffic. Worst part is never knowing when the day is over. Nothing like pulling back into the plant after a 12 hour day just so the boss can tell you to put the truck under the chute because someone wants concrete......
This time of year I'm laid off, so I do as I please. There are however some genius customers that have yet to figure out that a major component of concrete (water) doesn't flow very well below 32 degrees:whistle:

Mr.Brown- The winter customers are shopping at off peak season, getting deals on frozen lumpy driveways:laugh:

Wouldn't surprise me that they thought that, you would not believe some of the idiots I take concrete to. And then they complain when it turns out looking like hell and dammit!

Like most jobs, It would be a great job if it wasn't for the damn customers.

I'm up at 4:00AM, of to the shop at 5:30. 6:00 to 2:30, back home again.
Subtract an hour from the up time, and add a hour on both ends of the day for overtime.
It's a job, and I'm sure glad to have it.
