ECU part number questions

I know both of these ECU's are 16 bit.

32920-24f00 thats a 99 ECU
32920-24f21 is a 00 ecu

But is there any real difference or are they both exactly the same? I have a 24f21 and i just bought a 24f00 ecu.

99 and 00 are the same!
01 is different, by its self
02 to 07 are the same!

Im assuming 32920-24f00 is a 99 ECU. Can anyone confirm that? Plus why the change of part number? So theres absolutely not difference between the
32920-24f00 and the 32920-24f21

As long as it is from a 99 or a 00, it will work.
I have both here and we have swapped them between bike before, with no problems!
