ecu up grade

currently have a 01 and want to change ecu to a 04 ecu . has anybody done this ? what parts need to be changed or modified . ???

I did my 2001 at the begining of last year. 2002-2007 stator hub and ECU is all you need...and maybe a gasket for the stator cover. If you want to reflash the ECU Greg is your friend (check boostbysmith add on this site).

you will need to remap the bike if changing, going from earlier stuff to 02-07 the bike will be lean. if you are swapping so that you can ecu flash, just make sure you have ability to know air fuel etc
