Help please. When connect to engine data - error: power is not on,ECU is in programming mode or Com port is not set correctly.Modemstat-6000 Comporter-0.

If ok - window closed and data engine are displayed, but data logging is not working. Error - Modem faled to intialize. Check usb cable.COM port selected and interface to engine data mode

my USB: + to +, -to-, K to K-line SDS.

Check your connections. 99% of the time one or more of the little pins inside one of the plugs either got pushed back in or bent over and is not contacting properly.

thnks. I check pins inside SDS - + and - and K-line. If pin not connected, data engin does not displayed, but I have all displayed, despite the error.

I had exactly this problem with the exception of an additional issue with my laptop. When I first encountered this, I had engine data but could not read the map or flash the ECU. At that point I found 2 pins not locked all the way in place (pushing on the back of the actual metal connector with the pin disconnect tool helps) and once those where installed, I got the com port error. The next thing I had to do as I am running windows 7 is make a new "unlocked" administrator account to be able to assign the port. I did it after Greg (boostbysmith) told me about the problem with windows 7 OS and ECU editor. There are tutorials online that will walk you through creating the account. If that doesn't fix your problem, PM Greg, he will get you straightened out.

Thnks. I have USB interface with 3 pin, only for data engine and gata logging, not for flashing.

voltage on pin USB is ok. checked with a multimeter. COM port installed - COM2. When error is displayed, i click ok - data engine displayed ok, but data logging is not working. I will write video on youtube tomorrow.
