Electric Water Pump

Does anyone here use the Davies Craig EWP or EBP? looking to replace the stock water pump but I dont really want to drop the $$$ for the RCC pump. I was looking at either the EBP or the EWP 80 (Davies Craig). The RCC claims 5 GPM. the EBP is rated at 4 GPM and the EWP 80 is rated 21 GPM but can be turned down with a voltage regulator. Any thoughts and comments are much appreciated!

I am talking about removing my OEM water pump and replacing it with an electric water pump.

One thing nice about the RCC pump is that it comes in a billet housing that bolts directly to the engine - in place of where the stock, mechanical water pump used to be. There are no changes necessary to the stock water hoses. Since the oil pump no longer drives the water pump, it also frees up some hp. In addition, you can run it while the engine is shut down.

I want one and have yet to crack the wallet...having a higer coolant flow at idle + the ability to run it + fans while the engine is off may be good in limited situations. For the drag strip a few times a month, during the summer.

FYI - RCC will be discontinuing the electric pump that bolts to the stock location, the one being discussed here. It will no longer be available after this season, due to increased manufacturing costs. POWERHOUSE still has these available at this time for anyone planning on "cracking the wallet" soon. . .

I was unable to find any RCC pumps on their website - did they discontinue all of their water pumps?

I assume the electric motor will still be available... (I guess the billet housing will go up in value for me)

Two versions of the electric water pump will still be available: one that bolts to the back of the cylinder, and one "in-line" version. Again, the version that bolts into the stock location has been discontinued.

There is now only one left in existence. And yes, POWERHOUSE has the last one, for whoever may want it.

So once the electric motor on the one I have (OE bolt on loc) no longer works there's no replacement motor for it?

No, no, no . . . its not the electric pump itself that has been discontinued, its the surrounding billet enclosure that adapts that pump to the stock location. That same electric pump is being used in the other two versions, so you're good!:beerchug:

Again, there is only one RCC electric water pump for the stock oem location left. RCC has none, and have no plans on making any more.

POWERHOUSE has the last one . . . after this one is gone, they will no longer be available. Get yours before it is too late!:banghead:

This thread was meant to ask the question - does anyone have any experience with the Davies Craig water pumps - for replacement of the stock water pump - not the stock location - as an inline pump....

Check with TTS Engineering in the U.K. They were the first to make an electric water pump for the Busa. I think they may still make them
