Engine noise

Im the proud new owner of a 06 grey and blue busa. yeah i know its faster than the other colors. but my question is I am used to riding gixxers so I can handle the rattle and comotion the engine makes like valves ticking on a car. But should the busa make that same noise when on a cold start. The noise is stranger than im used too maybe because its a new bike but do you guys have the same loud ticking almost clunking noise at start up for a minute or so?

I am on my second Busa and everyone that I have ever heard is very very noisy. Mine does that as well. I have an 05 with 15k on the clock. Noisy at start-up then smooths out.

Same here. You don't even notice it after a while.

I call it the choke, but make sure you use it on every start. I've read the engine needs to be around 1100 RPMs to lube the top end.

LOL yeah I thought that about my gixxer 600. Sweet I will stop worring. cant wait to get off work and get it broke in so I can beat on it a little. WOOOO HOOOO and yeah going from a gixxer 600 to a busa the power band is

scary a little getting use too. I use to have to get my gixxer in the 9k rpm range to wake the motor up not on this bad boy its always awake power band is now.

Sounds normal to me

just go ride and FORGET IT. The wind noise from your speed will cover any little ole engine noise
