Engine Tuner

Anyone tuning motors on Haybusas in South Fla.
Head work, bores, cams, etc.
Sure would be nice to have a Yoshimura type shop that specialized in Suzuki.

Stupid Bike Mike is a joke. I sunk over 5k with him for a busa that had a broken crank case, sprockets and covers. I have posted his mishaps a while ago. All I can say is you were WARNED!!

Stay away from Superbike mike, I like others who have posted in this thread have heard too mary bad stories...

Hey y'all.

Glad to read that there are some good memories out there. I specifically remember the a ss h ole Mike thread. Several persons whom post here have been threatened by that guy and were told that he would give them their parts when he was good and ready and if they keep hasseling him he would throw their cylinders in the street. He also experimented on someone's 'busa and f uck ed up the engine. Imagine dropping your brand new revolutionary 'busa off to get it tweaked after only riding it for a couple of months and find out over an extended period of time that the main component, the engine, is worth about 2 Mr. Coffees and a can opener.

The easiest way to find a good builder or tuner is see if he/she listens to you and not tries to force something on you.Remember it is your money and your bike. Also have a plan when you go see a builder don't say I want to go fast.Explain what you want to do and where you want to end up.If it is what you want then money should not be a problem.
Remember it is your bike and money.

Also keep in mind that what ever engine builder you choose find out if he/she has any bike on the track or street, if so talk to the owners. Here is a list of shops that I think might be in your area: BPM(George Babor), MRE, C&W Cycle Works, Cope Racing, MTC Engineering.

I found this in past postings circa Nov. '99.

DO NOT SEND ANYTHING TO SUPERBIKE MIKE.I SENT HIM THE HEAD OFF OF MY 94 11OO. HE
PROMISED ME A TWO WEEK TURN AROUND & HAD IT FOR ALMOST 3 MONTHS.WHEN I CALLED TO
CHECK ON THE STATUS OF MY HEAD HIS EXACT WORDS TO ME WERE, DO YOU WANT ME TO
THROW YOUR F***ING HEAD IN THE STREET ?.I SHUT MY MOUTH AND NEVER CALLED HIM BACK IN
FEAR OF NEVER SEEING MY HEAD AGAIN.WHEN I GOT MY HEAD BACK I BOLTED IT ON AND RODE THE
BIKE FOR MAYBE 10 MILES.I CAME HOME AND DID A LEAK DOWN TEST AND 13 OF THE 16 VALVES
LEAKED.I CALLED HIM AND HE WANTED ME TO SEND THE HEAD BACK BUT I NEVER DID. AFTER A
LOCAL SPEED SHOP FIXED THE VALVE JOB THE BIKE RAN GREAT.ALWAYS REMEMBER WHEN YOU
SEND YOUR PARTS OUT YOU ARE AT THEIR MERCY!

I love this! I will NEVER pass an opertunity to flame Stupid Bike Mike. That A-Hole burned 2 of my
friends and myself for well over $3000 due to the shitty work he turns out. A ZX-11 head that
pumped water thru #1 intake port where he ground thru a water passage, a set of 900 Honda cases
were ruined because he couldnt mount them in the mill before grinding the deck resulted in one end
of the block being .040 lower than the other side, and loosing my oil pan and pump, causing me to
have to shell out $115 for a new oil pump. And Mike if you read this i'm still holding that old oil pump
for your MOMMA you A-Hole

I could not find Gix Trix. What City are they in?

I like the advice of finding someone who will listen.

Part of me wants to leave well enough alone... The bike seams to run so STRONG!
But it is amazing, that drive to want more power!
I'm having the bike dynoed tomorrow, we'll see where it goes from there.

Anybody go to Fuddy's tonight?
