Back in my road racing days with AMA and WERA ('86-91) my favorite oil was Golden Spectro and my favorite tires were Metzeler Comp K's. They didn't last long but man did they stick well. There were no other choices in my book.
I have been reading this website for quite some time now and no longer hear much about these brands.
It seems like the Mobil MX4 oil is the ONLY choice (once your bike is broken in) and the only talk of tires are the new Dunlop 200's or Michelin Hi-Sports ?
I have to admit, I've had 5 year lay-off in the biking game due to a divorce which sucked up all my play money....BUT now I am back into the game with the most incredible production bike ever built...yeaaahhhh-hhhhaaaa !!!!!
and I must say it is great to be back !
