I just bought one from ebay for 130.00 the kit it does not come with a detent arm because 06 has one already in it. That what the guy said in a email

The 99's were the only bike not to have a detent arm with bearings. They all have detent arms, Suzuki just added a bearing for smoother shifting in 00'. So yes what he said was correct.

Some of the kits did not come with a detent arm, and my 06 had one so he is right.

The spring is stronger than the stock spring, and the star is smaller so I would say it is needed.
