So... I bought an HMF dual low setup from a board member sometime around Christmas or earlier...I think (honestly can't remember when).
I finally decided to get the part out and do all the usually mods one does to the stock motor machines.
After looking the pipes over, although they were in great condition, I just wanted something other than that goldish steel look that the SS pipes come with.
I searched all over for anyone with info on where to go..but it was all deadends until I found a local race shop that knew what I wanted. Something to help direct heat away from the motor and help dissipate the heat quickly after shutdown.
I personally went with the shiny silver look (kinda chrome-like).
They offer various promises based on the color of the coatings you choose...there's black, satin black (clearcoated) and white.
It stays polished with simple metal polishes.
It's warranted to remain like this for at least a year at operatings temps up to 1300 degrees F.
Not too shabby for under 200.00 which coated all parts of the sytem inside and out except for the canisters.
Any scratches you see are actually in the steel itself..this coating is super thin and tough as nails.
