Allright, before everybody pummels me like the last poor sod, I bought this sucker for the power yes, But I bought it to travel on. I'll probably take it to the track a time or two, but that isn't WHY I bought it.

I was getting ready to pull the trigger on a full system and someone made a comment about fairly large losses in fuel economy (ie; range) with any aftermarket system.

I got sick and tired of the low fuel lite coming on at 100 miles on the Buell firebolt I rode most of last yr.

Right now, I have about 190 miles to empty on a typical ride. I kinda like the range. Yea, I want more power, but am going to go with 16/42 sprockets and know that this will drop my range some..

Have you noticed a major drop in mileage with full systems?

How about just slip-ons? (not much more flow than stock, hence not much more fuel used? but still some decent sound)

Speak to me!

Take a deep breath Rev, I bought it to ride it........I just dont like to stop any more often than I have to!

By the way, I had planned on a 4 into 1 system to loose some weight too.
(easier than me loosin weight!)

I didn't notice any, small change to fuel mileage. To really increase fuel burn, you need to increase air intake, ie turbo, supercharger, bigger engine....

It shouldnt matter too much.. it makes more power and easier making that power, therefore more efficent.. and less work to get up to speed, and maintain it ... But i must warn you, the sound is addicting and you will twist more so you can hear the sweet music. 5000rpm roll on sounds sooooooo sweet.

IMO its how displined are you. in wrist control.. hehehe
