Exhaust ?\'s - be gentle

I'm sure this has been discussed 13,497 times but here goes...

Who are the dominant exhaust manufactures for the Hayabusa?

I see several pics of can-only systems. Is there not much power to be gained by a full system?

Other than weight savings, is there any advantage/disadvantage to a 4-2-1 system?

If I were only looking for sound...what's a good recommendation for something deep with some throat? I've heard a Two Bros on a V-Twin, it sounded killer -like a small V8

If you have pics of a particular system/can on your bike please hold my hand and show me where.

You will not get that V-8 sound out of a Busa due to it is a inline 4
I suggest you listen to them all and see which you like.
So far I am keeping my stock pipes.
Stelth is nice.

Sorry my.02

FACT 1: slip-ons will increase HP and reduce weight over stock..your stock busa exhaust is 32 lbs
FACT 2: full systems create more HP and reduce even more weight then slip-ons....you will save about 20 lbs, roughly.
FACT 3: most full systems are 4-2-1 for the busa because of the reduced weight over a dual system and provide more performance...thats right, single systems out perform dual.
FACT 4: sport bikes will never sound like V-8's with aftermarket exhaust...they have that "move the hell out of the way indy car sound"

Sounds like you want what I have...a 2-brothers dual complete system. I like the look/sound of a dual system on my busa even though I know a single is better...I'am sure you would like the sound...

Stu,
I have a y2k red and grey busa and want a pipe to make the bike look better. Thinking about a carbon fiber 2 brothers slip on. Did you have to remap with the system you have?

Johnnycheese,
Will any exhaust mods(slip ons)void my warranty(basic or ext warr)? Dont want to piss away the 460 bucks if it will.

I,am not an expert but I have been told by many maufactures that most slip-ons do not require a new map....thats not to say it wouldn't help though. Its best to call the manufacture about the specific pipe your looking at.

If "Deep Sound" is what you are looking for, I would go with the TBR 4-2 full system or slip ons. If Weight savings / HP is you bag of worms, I'd pick up an Akro, Micron, or Muzzy.

I think I may opt for a TBR 4-2 Xmetal just for looks and sound when the ole wallet agrees.

If you are a power monger, I'd say go for turbo, a Mr. Turbo requires there tuned pipe for the system anyway, or Cyclestuff carries several turbos that vary, even one that can run on the stock pipes I think.

But what do I know, I'm still running the stock can, polished of coarse... ;)

I've actually been considering the Mr. Turbo kit. <Haven't we all?>

Figuring a typical replacement exhaust will run close to a 1k, why not add 3k and go for the gusto?

What are the disadvantages to a 7psi turbo? Engine life = 5k miles?
