im installing my extensions today, i bought them from a member so i dont have the instuctions!! anyone know what torque to tighten the bolts. If i dont have a torque wrench can i put locktite on then and just tighten them real good by hand??

i live way out in the country, we have so much snow id never get out of the drive way lol, i have a torque wrench somewere but of course i cant find it:banghead:

Well, leave a big arse note at the switch saying go torque extentions and when you ride it the first time you can do it.

As much as you work on your bike you really should invest in a torque wrench.:rolleyes2:

Honestly Busa girl I would be using the GFT standard (Good and F'in Tight) with some lock tite then 72 ft-lb for the rear axle nut. I know that is not going to please people around here, but I won't loose sleep over it.

I can call Jonny @ Exoticycle and ask him. His shop is 1 mile from my house. I'll let you know tomorrow if you still have the question.

Well for the ones from ATC it was 48ft lbs. If they are aluminum which I am assuming they are, if you torque them toooooo much two things could things COULD happen, 1 you could twist them off or 2, wreck the threads, either way they are wrecked....... I would find the info, if you call them they will tell you. DOnt just guess, or take someones OPINION!!!!!

I am really late on this, but I finally got to talk to Jonny at the track last night. He said to torque them to 25 lbs. Really, he says, just as tight as you can get them with a small wrench.

Hope this late info helps.
