help. if any one knows the reason for the extra hole in the side cowling let me know. i dropped the busa a while back and had to order new sides. the new sides i got have one extra hole in the bottom side. the peice i am refering to is the large right and left side peices that cover the engine. the dealer sent it back and explained the problem to suzuki and the sent plactic with the same extra hole. i looked on the web for a pic and found a red one with the extra hole. i have the blck 99 and there is no place for me to put a screw for the extra hole on my bike frame. the dealer called the suzuki tech line and i guess all you can do is leave a message and they havent called him back. it been months now. i need to ride.

hmmmmmmmm..... My bike has the extra hole too.... Like that from new, but there are thread in the frame that fit one of the fairing screws......

But these are Canadian bikes. So I do not know what the extra whole was meant for, and if the US and European ones are the same.

There is a bracket at the bottom that holds the bottom of the fairing together, but I would imagine you are talking about something different.....

Some people do not want to help, cause it is too easy.... Pity them

Yes I don't have to help on that read his post
His dealer called the tech line and no asnwer.
Heck If I was Suzuki I would not answer either.
It is in the set up manual!!!!!
I need to ride it has been months.

I am still laughing

SO SINCE JONNYCHIZIT IS A FLAMMING AHOLE. IM I TO UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS JUST ON CANADAIN BIKE AND THATS WHAT WE WERE SENT?

The 2000 busa's have an extra brace under the engine, requiring an additional hole in the fairing. I'm assuming if you buy a new panel, Suzuki is making them all with the extra hole and just painting to the specific year.

Right---I have a 99 and a 00. I bought the brace and the approiate bolts----drilled the faairing and bingo----the 99 fairing holds together now.

forget it
