fairing removal?

I know what fastners and anchors to take out but,where are the hook's you un hook per the owners manual? Don't want to pull to much in fear of cracking a fairing.Thank's in advance.

The hooks are at the bottom of the inner plastics near the bottom of the gas tank. It just takes a little tug and it pops free.....I hope this helps

No problem bro, that was one of the first things I did. I took everything off I was comfortable with just to make sure I could with out damaging anything.

Related question -- I have all of the fasteners out except for the large push pin on the upper black plastics. Can't seem to remove it. Is the center supposed to push in to release? Thanks in advance for the help...

LittleJohnny,,,,the center actually pops up. I use the flat head and slide it under the center and gently pop it up.....

With the black rivets the center pushes in and it will practally fall out. Use a small allen key.
