Anyone installed a switch to manually cut on the fan to keep the engine cooler at traffic lights and stops. Sure need to place one own mine since living here in the DC area. Any help would be great!!
beleive it or not, the positive on the fan is always hot... Its the negative that is switched...
All you have to do is run a switch to a good ground location and wire the switch inline with the fan's negative wire... (NOT THE BLUE ONE; that is the positive....
)
You are good to go...!
If you decide to do two fans, you will want to use a relay to the secondary fan...
drain your coolant and go with engine ice (2 bottles to top it off) and get a muzzy aluminum fan (like stated above).. i have a 1397 no oil cooler and it never gets above 1/2 even sitting at stop lights for decent time periods... good luck
