Fascinating PUIG airflow & pressure comparison

I found this quite interesting. Not sure if it's been posted here or not. This Z-Racing screen seems a nice way to improve some airflow dynamics. Made in Barcelona, I presume. I'm trying to find one here in the USA. Anyone have link to one?

im planning on going to a puig screen. i have Z screen on my gen2 and it has work well for me. im a fan of puigs quality over some of the other brands that ive used on other bikes i’ve owned.

Thanks for sharing this! I have a Puig screen waiting for me at the dealership, just need to go round and get it... However, Paul pointed out that it has no TÜV/EU certificate. I asked the distributor the same question and waiting for the answer.

Will get something, because in standard position the stock screen diverts the wind right to my throat at speed.

That's interesting - I'm going to try one too - the Puig home website shows an ABE Certificate for the Z-Racing screen and whilst it doesn't affect us in the UK - thank you Brexit :) - I'd always assumed ABE was the same as TÜV?

The dealer got back to me, providing the ABE certificate. I should send it to Paul, lol.

Anyway, I'll grab it in a few days, install and report back on the difference.

I called a PUIG dealer in San Diego. He says the screen isn't listed in their system. He will call PUIG directly and check. This is confirming what Fernando wrote. I'll update this when I have more info.

What I didn't mention is that the rider in this comparison was 5 foot 6 inches tall, I believe. I'm 6 foot 4 inches tall... this screen should help a little, even in an upright position.

ABE means General operating license. The document linked by Vanishing Point shows the approval from regulators list which also includes approval from TÜV .

Mine arrived at the dealer in early May but I ordered the cushion that the OEM Windscreen needs because it I think it will also be needed for the Puig windscreen and they don't provide it in the package(it's just my speculation based on reports from other clients). The cushion has the code 47123-17K00
I waited around a month for the cushion and I should receive the package in the next few days... we all know the situation regarding shipping delays and economies. That's what happens when "red plague" hits the west...

It looks better in person and it's a good trade-off between looks and wind deflection.
If you travel long distances and especially on highways at higher speeds, then I think it's a must.
If you travel short distance/ occasional riding than there's no point to change to a higher than OEM windshield.
