FAT TIRE SWING ARM DILEMMA

So I’ve got another dilemma I’m trying to figure out regarding my Custom Cycles 300 swing arm that on my bike. I’ve found there’s not a rear shock but instead is a large threaded rod that adjusts the height. I definitely feel it in my back when I hit bumps and have even been bounced off the seat.
I’ve found there’s website for the company and messaged them three times but no response.

Does anyone know about this setup or know of a way a shock can be added? I’m also looking for rear sprockets that will work with this kit. Its getting close to needing changing and I’m wanting to adjust the tooth count some.

Thanks!

That's called a strut...why I don't know, as they are for looks only, and otherwise useless.
You should have the factory or factory style lower knuckle and links still in place.
A factory shock can be put back in, and if you have/or add adjistable links, you can adjust the rear height by -2" to +2", and anywhere in between, Soupy's Racing sells good ones.
A used rear shock isn't expensive either.
Or, you can buy an air-ride setup.

If you can't find a sprocket that fits, call these guys, and give them the bolt spacing and tooth count you want.
If they can't get it...it doesn't exhist.
They are excellenf to deal with.

Thanks! Can you share pictures of the links and struts so I know exactly what I’m looking for in case I am missing them? I didn’t see a place or way to put a shock back in unless again I’m overlooking something.

The flat links are stock, the threaded hex are the aftermarket adjustables

The top hole in the shock bolts to a clevis like this, and the clevis bolts to the bike through a hole in the frame, where the top of the strut is now.

Those are all shocks obviously, here are some struts. After comparing the pics and looking at your bike u should be able to understand what u got and what u need to convert to a shock.

If u get a shock be prepared to raise the ride height so u don’t rip off that undertail
