What are some of your favorite rides? For me it was 2002 and 2003 when I trailered my bike from Georgia to CA for the GP races that Laguna Seca. We had an awesome tour guide LoBusa (Lori) We would spend a week riding around the bay area, go to cannery row at night for the bike shows and just have an absolute blast hanging out. On my second trip out there I spent a week riding around the Los Angeles/ canyon country area with Owen (Big O). That's where we found cows. LOL The next day on that road is where 6th gear rev limiters may or may not have been hit by some. :O I have made some great friends on this sight and memories that I would never otherwise have.

I counted 11 Hayabusas, one copper and silver 99 and one…lavender and silver! Only one fugly top box too thankfully.

I participated in a toy ride one time and there were 1000 bikes....that was memorable...
I do the Christmas toy ride here every year. Always fun, sometimes very cold and occasionally on the scooter :)
My favorite ride by far is Hwy 125 down into Arkansas. Great twisties, a ferry ride that usually involves interesting conversation, and good barbecue in Yellville Arkansas. I back track the same route.

not by much. You joined in 04 when they were still active members. Sadly a lot of them have moved on.

I didn’t get a Busa until February 4th of 2006. In two weeks it will be 19 years old and is approaching 85,000 Smiles. Been north to the Canadian border, south to the Mexican border, east as far as Mt. Rushmore for eleven states so far.

Most fav ride? I think riding thru somewhere for the first time would be my favorite rides. Glacier NP/the Going to the sun road across the park, Crazy Horse monument/Mt. Rushmore, Devils Tower, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone NP, Pikes Peak (to 11,000’ due to icy corners higher up), the Avenue of the Giants, Yosemite NP, Calaveras Big Trees SP, Sequoia/Kings Canyon NPs, Beartooth Pass, the Moki Dugway, Monument Valley, and the coast hiway from CA to WA and back.

How bout a Hayabusa meet at one of these places? I’m up for it and I’m an old geezer. :)

I guess my favorite ride has been the trip to Colorado. 7 days, 2100 miles on the bike, just in Colorado. Sadly, it was on a Concours not the Busa. I will get back out there on the Busa one day.
I once rode my ST from Springfield MO to Cape Cod, up into Maine, and then over to Niagara Falls and back. 4100 miles in 8 days. It was quite an adventure, beautiful sights, but I'd rather be leaned over on the Tuono any day.

Logically, as we ride nearby stuff most often, the threshold for new roads creeps outward. My favorite ride last year was the north end of hwy 395 in Oregon. It had been on my wish list for a while. Up in the elevation, it was a summer time ride. So rural. So beautiful. It did not disappoint.

My last one was over 10 years ago, the Oxley HWY in NSW. It runs from the coast up through the range and onto the tablelands. When I did it the surface was smooth as a babies bum, perfect corners, amazing views. When I stopped the night at a motel after coming down I met a guy who told me the roadworks team that maintains it all rode hayabusas, sounded far fetched but I believed it.

Action starts at 3:00
This guy does it on a Big Yamaha tourer.
