Female Hayabusa owners?

I am a happy Norwegian owner of a red & black Hayabusa.
Some details:
Date of arrival: March 10.
Production number: 273
Mileage: approx. 3000
Problems: NONE AT ALL!!
Rear tire: have to change within the next 1000 km
Level of satisfaction: VERY VERY!!

I am new to this board, found it while I was searching for Hayabusa info on Alta Vista .

Looking through previous messages, it becomes apparent that there is no female participation. Am I correct? I was just curious to know if there are any female-owners out there? It could be interesting to see their experiences.

A good summer to all of you!

Well, nobody has admitted female participation yet...

So here goes: I AM female... (Surprise!)

Don't have a 'Busa yet, but it's a serious consideration. Need a bike to ride in the desert, and the XX/ZX11(12)/Busa are all players. I currently own a '96 VFR (and others that I really don't ride much) and am looking to upgrade to a faster bike.

Rode a 'Busa fro the first time yesterday, and the bike is exceptionally fast, very pretty, and fits me better than the competition. REALLY pretty, and a very cool sound to boot.

Let you know in three weeks if I can officially be called a 'Busa owner or not...

Red and Black, hunh? I have heard of them, but haven't seen them yet. Only the picture above....

I like the Black and Silver... Where did you get your red one?

Do you have any pictures? Send them to josie@cyberjosie.com Would be very interested in seeing that in person, or at least more pics of it than just the one that you see to the top left of this page...

Welcome to the club. I enjoy the company of female riders in general. I want to know your thoughts and experiences overall. I have the black busa and very pleased. Whenever I am around alot of other bikes, I am the center of attention without a doubt. I look at the other bikes to let them know, they are special too. I am not conceited, but happy to have the fastest bike around.

take care soja1

Wow... Another female here?

Amazing...

Well, like I said, I don't yet have a 'Busa, but it will be available to me in about 3 weeks.

Sure is nice to see a friendly face and another woman.

Overall experiences? With my bikes, great... I can't get enough. They are a terrific stress relief when all days' computing has got my feathers ruffled. But that is no surprise to you, I am sure.

On the other hand, my overall experiences have not been good with other riders. Everywhere I go I get pawed, hit on, talked down to, threatened, you name it. It is even worse when they find out what I do for a living (Internet Porn). And that is OTHER RIDERS. You should see the way that cage drivers treat female motorcyclists. Well, maybe you know... Makes you really begin to hate people.

So, I have a few tight friends that I usually ride and hang out with. They are the kind of people that I know I can trust my life to.

Thanks for the info!

wow, that is really pretty... Do you have pics of the black and silver ones?

Over there in Norway, which color seems to be most popular?

Are there more red ones available out there? Are they US spec? How is the HP rating and everything? Any weird pollution controls over there that I would need to know about?

I'd bet I can have one shipped over here...

I don't have any pics of the black and silver ones, but here is another link and in my opinion an interesting story about the Busa (might be familiar to a lot of the readers)

As I said previously, I got mine in March and I was one of the lucky ones - only 10 bikes were imported to Norway. I made up my mind within less than 5 minutes when the demo bike arrived at my local dealer. The bike was in the shop only 4 hours before it was moved to the next one. According to my memory this happened in late January

When it comes to specs they are the same. The only thing you have to do if you import a European bike is adapting the lights to US standard (should not cost much).

I think I should share the price with you before I trap you into some bet. I paid approx. $ 29.000 for the bike! There might be ways of avoiding Norwegian taxes if the purpose is export out of our country, but I am not familiar with the detailed rules. I guess the major problem is lack of bikes all over the world.

By the way, we had beautiful weather to day and I had a long ride in beautiful mountain scenary. The roads are not made for top speed, but the curves and the power of the bike makes the trip more challenging and interesting than driving on high-ways..

If the bike was not manfu. for the usa, there are lots of wonder government regulations that you must conform with.... big hassle.

Best thing is to purchase the bodywork outright (it's $1950 USD for the front 3 sections w/o gas tank & tail).

cyberjoe- I am sorry to hear you have such bad experiences with male motorcycle riders. I have a chat room on ICQ for motorcycle enthusiasts and have people from all over the world to include several females. One is even a champion in Scotland. It is a shame that just because you are a female people don't feel you can ride or should not be on a bike or whatever the case may be. the way I look at it we are all enthusiasts and just because you are a woman does not mean you are any less of a rider or deserve any less respect. I commend you for having the courage to do what you do and stand up for yourself and you are welcome to my chat room anytime........later on! Randy

Per.

( I wont translate this one to U my English only speaking friends. It contains a lot of nasty words and its not suitable for U law obeying people.....hehehe )
