What's the best way to do this?How do I remove th e rear fairing I pulled the plastic fastners out and unscrewd 2 bolts on each side but I couldn't get it off

.do you guys buy you're fender kits or build them you're self?

I took the pins out of the little section between the driver and passenger seat also. That will help it spread. It slides off the back kinda. Make sure no fastener is still in it (several on the bottom side). 1 is enough to stop you. You will also need to unplug the tail lighting as you slid it back & off.

For a Gen1, remove the 2 bolts and 6 fasteners on the fairing itself. Remove the plastic fasteners for the piece between the rider and passenger seats. Unlatch or remove the locking mechanism and pull to the rear.

it's an 08 and it seems like the metal post are attached to the fram? How do I undo this.And I ran into a problem on the left side it seems the silver bolt wont fit with the alan wrenches the bike comes with any sagestion on how to remove a bolt that isn't the way it's sapost to be.Thanks for all you're help!
