hi guys. I heard of a few people putting gsxr1000 mirrors on the busa. anyone have pics and can you actually see around ur shoulders? also im thinking about a 6 inch stretch and wanted to know if i used adjustable links would i still have to have my spring changed?

Pashnit sells some 1k mirrors. He has a thread with all his upgrades for the Gen2. I am pretty sure that is where I saw them. I will probably do that as well.

Here is the thread I mentioned... modding-new-pashnit-busa

Google "Hayabusa mirror extenders"
They let you see around your shoulders and they look nice. Easy mod. I recommend getting the plastic ones. I got the anodized aluminum and they are very heavy - no need for that.

I see Tim at Pashnit is selling the aluminum ones and, in fact, it looks like he is showing them with GSXR mirrors if you like that look better.

Scroll down to see them with the stock mirrors.

What they all said about the mirrors. I like mine, you have better visibility, too.

As far as the links, 5" is about as long as you can go if you want the bike low in the rear. And it depends on the undertail. The tire is going to rub out that far with the stocker. I had a Motorhead one on mine, similar to the pan Catalyst makes. I liked everything about mine except that it eventually cracked the factory tail section where the bolts mounted it

Got em on mine, from pashnit work great, look alot better and the visibility is better also. I've got a pretty big upper body so they helped!

Love mine!

you can see behind you with the gixxer mirrors. no mirror extenders needed(at least i could). no pics sorry i took them off and put block offs on.

i just stretched mine about 5" and had rubbing issues with the dog bones on the lowest setting.(3 hole dog bones) moved it to the middle and no problems it just sat a little to high for me so i got the 5 hole adjustable dogbones and put it on the 2nd hole from the bottom(3" drop i think). No problems

wont need a new spring unless your wanting to slamm it.

havnt ridden with a passenger yet. i just finished it up this past weekend. rode to work monday and tuesday no problems. my last bike didnt rub with a passenger when i had the bones set to the middle hole so it should be good.
