Well I have been in the same dept here for about 6 years. We are finally going to get a bonus here. Was told last night that on Feb 23 we will get our bonus, and a company wide raise. On top of that our mngrs can give us additions merit raises. As exciting and good as that is...I got a call last wed. Seems a guy that I used to work with is now a mngr in another group here and came looking for me to try and hire me. So wish me luck because tomorrow at 8 am I have only my 4th interview in 29 years of living. Nervous is kinda an understatement.

Well the interview went great. Of course I was nervous and was sweating like...well I was sweating. Anyways the job has two more lvls of approval and it will be mine. Pretty much formality according to him. I am STOKED! New toys for the busa in the spring...and one step closer to a house. I get a promotion to a network engineer 3 which is a step up from what I am now and there is alot more room to grow. One of the biggest reasons I want to move. Thanks for the support guys.

Well I get off work today at 7 and am on the way home...about 15 min into my drive I get a call from the guy trying to hire me. His Senior Mngr wants to interview me...Today and in like 45 min. It is an hour commute so I tell him ok. I go to the golden arches grab a tea and bagel to kill time. I get to talk to the Sr. Mngr. And to put it short and sweet...As soon as the job posts (looking mid week next week) it is mine. It did help he was ex-army commo...wait so am I and we bs about diffrent MOS's and crap. So it will be back to days for me. They are trying to groom me to be a shift lead..(one step toward mngr myself) I get a promotion to engineer 3, I get to add to my resume and I will get paid more and get to sleep regular hours. Man it is like a late x-mas for me. I am more stoked cause I also got my letter stating that my credit cards are paid off. One step closer to getting my house at the end of this year.
