I've been wanting to become a MFS instructor ever since I took the course (both beginner and advanced). Finally a spot opened and I went to the first class this past week. I thought it was funny as everyone was introducing themselves and what they ride. Most everyone rides a cruiser bike (lots of H-D's). Most said they wanted to teach the class 'cause they were tired of these guys on the "crotch rockets". Well, when my intro came, I proudly told everyone I ride the "BUSA!! Lots of eyebrows raised and funny smirks. After the class one guy (ex-motorcycle cop) stopped me to say what a great bike the 'busa was, and something he always wanted to ride. I'm thinking that lots of guys have "lust in their hearts" for a 'busa, but just can't say it out loud! Anyways--I'm looking forward to having fun in the class and teaching newbies!

OOPS-- should have said MSF class--stupid fingers don't work on this keyboard!!!

Congrats. Teach well. It's needed to keep people alive out there.

Good job,

Great Class!!!

Too bad successfully passing the class isn't mandatory for getting a motorcycle endorsement. IMO some of the "nuts" out there who would benefit most, either don't or won't take the class.

Very cool, that is a great course.

I got the smirks and shifted eyes when I introduced myself, but hey what can you do.

I have to say that while I was there taking the beginners course to get my license there were two women (late 30s to 40s) that have never riden before and were scared to death.

The instructors took their time and helped these ladies get through the course and pass! Great group of people to work with

Fixed your title,

Congrats on getting accepted. I took my Rider Coach prep in a 10 day block. It was rough in the late June heat. I didn't even want to look at my bike for a week afterwards. I love teaching the course, I have taught about 50 classes now. It is a new experience each time.

I want to become an instructor. Would have, but then I decided on trying to go with the USAF for the time being. Of course, my plans are ALWAYS changing. I passed the HD Riders Edge Experienced rider course with flying colors. I got some looks the beginning of the day, cause I was the ONLY sport bike, all HD Baggers and cruisers there... By the end of the day, they had a newfound respect for my bike, and I for there's. I saw a HD do things I never thought they could in tight spaces...
