FINALLY!  a small race

No one ever challenges me. Ever. My bike is stock, and I would enjoy some vettes, vipers, heck even a built mustang or something.... I get nothing.

So I RELISH in what tiny morsals of racing someone, ANYONE throws me. So, after washing off the busa, I needed to wind dry her so I hit the streets and freeways. it was picture perfect: very little wind, sun had JUST set so it was light but not blinding, some street lights were coming on, car lights were on, so everything had that dayglo neon bright look against the purple/pink sky.
Pulled up next to an Infinity type car at a stop light, with four people in it. I'm guessing youngers on their way to prom. I knew I had to get over 3 lanes for the clover leafentrance onto the free way. As I suspected, the guy shot off the line, and I let him go as I don't usually want to draw attention to myself being a cop magnet. I see him hit the entrance in front of me so I figure "aw why not?"

I sweep in right behind him and hike off the bike in racer speed turning mode on the clover entrance as to say, "It's on!" and he notices and takes off faster. This is a small turning onramp and I see the front left of his car start to dip as he pushes his suspension past it's abilities... so I let up and sit up, backing off.... I don't wanna be responsible for 4 kids rolling a car on Prom night. I'll just reel him in on the freeway where the worst he can do is go strait, slower than me.

It's pretty clear so I cut over 3 lanes, giving him the abilty to come over two and get arround some traffic. Pulling up next to him, He starts winding it up and I drop down to 2nd at 70 to ensure a good show for his passengers when I pin the throttle. I keep next to him a few seconds and tuck in real tight, pretending to race, glance over at him and wave bye bye with my left hand and pin the throttle, pulling away easily like a Ferarri eating a Yugo. I know I drove the point home, and slow, and he blows by me quite fast, so I hit it again keeping right next to him, look over, shrug, and pin it again, pulling away easily again. He still has it hammered but has to break hard for the traffic in front of him.

Okay... he's not that attentive of a driver, I best stop playing with him. I slow up and he shoots by me and keeps that pedal down, right into heavily patrolled seas. He slows a little as I head to my exit.

with a 1/4 mile between us, I hammer it again to pull next to him WHILE I'm exiting at like 100. I wave with the left, lean the the right and head home. That exit is fresh smooth blacktop so I know what I can do on it.

Okay, wasn't a GREAT kill or nothing, but maybe they enjoyed crossing swords with the legendary bike and a decent enough pilot.

Like I said, it's the most I can get around here.

...but I just saw a shiney new Lotus Esprit at a crossing an hour ago....

gonna be a good sumer.

I get teased all the time by kids that want to see the Busa. I need to grow up and stop showing them the Busa

Not quite my cup of tea but damn that sounded fun!

I have had all kinds of rides, from Honda Civics to 'Vettes, try and get me to race them. I never bite. All it takes is once. I just shake my head and go along my way. Don't get me wrong it is EXTREMELY tempting but I have way too much at stake to screw up even once.

99% of people in cages have no idea fast bikes are (not just a Busa)

It's funny when i had the Busa stickers on no one played with me, took them off I get punks all the time in there Civics.. normally i don't even bother with them. taking off normal is faster then them...

Nobody tries that with me on the busa

but they do on my VTX at stop lights.THEY LOOSE

They gotta feel stupid getting beat by a v-turd.

to cool man glad to see you were nice enough to keep those peeps a little safe in there cage some people would not have been that nice to try and keep them alive while having a little fun.

(WWJD @ Apr. 21 2007,19:53) I sweep in right behind him and hike off the bike in racer speed turning mode on the clover entrance as to say, "It's on!" and he notices and takes off faster. This is a small turning onramp and I see the front left of his car start to dip as he pushes his suspension past it's abilities... so I let up and sit up, backing off.... Truth is dude, you wouldn't. Your behind him on a bike, not a semi truck. He's in a car. Fact is you can only drive one vehical at a time so if he crunched or anything he has nobody to blame but himself. Good idea to back off to keep yourself safe from parts and such flying if he did wad it.

Nice kill but, i hope you don't take offense to this and i'm not trying to tell you how to do things at all, besides just letting the lil tosser go, you would have been better off crushing him outright from the light, or staying on the thrust after first crushing him on the highway and just plain leave him behind getting off the highway ASAP (Any cop sees this and sees the car acting foolish will most likely nail the cage). You never know who's behind that wheel. They're not pro's so if they lose control of the car and your near them...guess what? Or if they want to be jerks as you allow them to fly by...all they have to do is slightly glance you...not all people out there think getting embarressed by a bike is fun reguardless of their background.

Few of my encounters that had me adopt the "crush 'em and leave 'em" mindset if cagers act foolish with me. Years back when i had my XX i encountered a very powerful vette. After toying with him a bit I opened it up to 170 and put some good ground on him along with some traffic i knew he had to slow for to get around. I slowed back to 80mph and Good thing i kept watch in my mirrors because not only did he stay in pursuit but the loser looked to be lining his fender up with ME (i was in the fast lane..and he was in the middle taking up half of both lanes). I still had time to knock it down a few gears and matted it out of there. Put some traffic on us before hitting the first exit i could.

A little more recent was some stooge kids in a cavalier. It was on the highway and they sped by first at about 90 so i decided to play a lil "I'm better then you". I zipped by them, let them zip by, repeat. Well we were coming up on a area i've seen state boys gun people on so i decided to let them go on their next flyby. Good thing as they go from the slow lane, make a reckless hard left vearing into the fast lane barely missing the car in the middle, start to skid and then overcorrect and skid out of control in front of the cars in the middle and slow lane!! I watched as the other cars braked hard while laying on the horn and the cavalier spun off the slow lane and into the emergency lane/grass. I passed by and saw them getting back on the road so I floored it out of there not wanting to see how stupid they can be again.

I don't play around like that much anymore. Maybe with another bike for a bit but cages i either just let go if possible or leave them like they're a bomb about to explode.

No matter how stupid or determined they are, putting enough ground/traffic on them will most likely make them back off and if they don't you'll be far ahead and safe if they mess up or if the cops decide somebody is gonna be an example.
