ive waited a long time to get a busa for several reasons, the most important being i felt i didnt have the self control to handle the power

, but the time has now come

. i will be buying an 04 Red special edition this week and cant wait. the down side is im not taking it home for a month as the weather is not cooperative in most parts of the northeast this time of year and my work schedule is hectic. so im going to pick it up sometime in april. my current scoot is a triumph 955i that my wife is now going to ride on her own. the bike already has a yosh pipe, pc3, sliders. not sure about the TRE(which im not sure exactly what that is anyway), how would i find out? any quirks about these bikes i should know about? oil- full synth or semi? gas octane? how do you search through threads on this site, im stuck on the first page and cant scroll to earlier threads? thanks

to the Site !!!

What is a TRE, well you can search by hitting the search button TOP RIGHT of this screen. But basicly by taking it off or adding a speed healer you make the transmission think it's in 5th gear ALL the time. That prevents the auto govner/over rider (it's late and I can't remember what it's called) from cutting in at 186 mph.

Octane, same as above but I always use 87 because it WORKS best for me. And since I didn't design the engine, and I suppose the person who did, KNOWS ALOT MORE THAN ME about it and it's needs

And if I didn't answer your questions, go to General Forum and ask, YOU WILL DEFINITELY get your answer. Well, you'll get alot of answers, you will just have to choose then. Ain't it fun to be on a site where ALL questions can be answered, correctly or not

That about covers it, you cant get any better than the search engine.

When in doubt just ask.

Tons of info. You've got the right idea about doing a search. You'll get varying opinions on some things, but it will be ultimately up to you which route you should take. It's basically hit-and-miss, but the advice and knowledge around here won't steer you wrong.
