congrats, pics pics pics. Make sure you have all the proper gear and wear it ALL THE TIME!!!!
Take the MSF Course and start slow, pretend that everytime you get on your new scoot that your invisiable to everyone. Slow down at any site of a cager and practice some emergency braking stops in an open area so you can know how the bike response to an emergency situation. Good luck, congrats again and ride to survive

Ditto what painless said! Always ride as if you are invisible...you will soon see why we say this....THEY NEVER SEE YOU!

Cageers (especially in the L.A. area) are constantly on the phone TALKING or eating food, or talking to passengers, or yelling at the kids, or watching TV while driving (YES THEY ACTUALLY DO THIS HERE!!!!)

So ride like no one will ever see you, stay out of their blind spots, stay in their mirrors, or even better...FAR AWAY from them if traffic allows you to.

Be safe and enjoy the new ride! This bike is tons of fun, even at slow speeds...it si just so comfy and enjoyable!

Oh...and practice, practice, practice.....remember that what you do in an emergency situation is EXACTLY what you have practiced .....so practice the right things....and LOTS OF TIMES!!

HAVE FUN!

Yup take it easy you'll be alright.. and ride like the ppL around you is after you, stay on the move and never stay in one spot.

Ps: the tach and speedo moves at the same rate.. so be carefull 1st/2nd gear. hehehe

Best bit of advice...just don't get too comfortable too fast. BTW, I bet you have or had a manual trans in your car, guys who drove sticks seem to adapt quicker to bikes once they get things situated.
