First post and a problem

Greetings everyone. I have been frequenting the board since I bought my '02 Black/Blue in June. Thanks for the wisdom and wit. After my ride yesterday I noticed a noise that I'd never heard before. It sounds like the fuel pump noise that I am familiar with only about twice as loud and it is present only with the clutch lever released and goes away when the lever is pulled in. Otherwise the bike is running and performing as usual. My baby is stock and has received all of her check up's with oil changes inbetween. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

these badbirds have real noisy clutches , but it dosent usually sound anything like that little fuel pump whine . It definately has a real reciprocating sound to it(if that makes sense) . Mine gets quiet when clutch lever gets pulled in , I think everyones does .

hey, mine is a little noisy then too. But... Not THAT noisy. Not sure man, but I am sure someone here will have some good advice or previous experience with this.

Could be the windscreen or something loose somewhere. Check around, and wiggle parts to try and find something.

Otherwise, just ride it. There is no need to get paranoid about a few extra noises here and there.

Mine is real noisy until you pull in the clutch lever . She noisy but she sure does perform.
