I finally made it over to the local 1/4 mile strip. I have a LOT to work on. I'm 215 lbs in gear. The bike is completely stock other than the pipe. I had a string of 10.8xx's.

Wish that everybody had a chance to go to the drag strip ~ it is only $20 on the street legal days if you go Ten OH's *

I remember my first run down the strip, it didn't go well! lol! I stalled the bike, due to being so nervous and overwhelmed with instructions and advice! They told me to go on the second set of yellow lights, because you never beat the green! I saw the second set of yellows and immediately saw the green, I was like "OH CRAP" ! Next thing I know I've killed the engine, and the crowd gives the famous "AHHHH!" I still have it on video somewhere.
A few guys have been telling me that I need to get rid of the back torque limiter
My first pass I had a 1+ second reaction time and I shut down at the 1000 foot mark only to realize that I had more than 300 feet left to go.I remember my first run down the strip, it didn't go well! lol! The back torque limiter makes the clutch on mine very grabby. If I try leaving to hard, the clutch goes from slipping to locked almost instantly. It could be lack of experience too. I have ridden a Busa with a welded hub and the clutch application was much easier to control, but the lever was far to heavy for me to ride in traffic. What does that do? Reduce weight is all I can think of. I have probably felt that thing come one three times in the 11,000 miles I've ridden the bike. first gear two times, maybe. Once in second. It only comes into play when I am extremely aggressive on the street. I enjoy doing the same thing with the clutch lever. I really don't need that slipper clutch on my busa. It might be a life saver for road racing but I have no clue what it does for other riding. I can't see it interfering with drag racing except it's a little extra weight.
Nice work your first time at the drag strip. Never done it myself but I really ought to.
