This was off a pier. It had a resurant at the end and little trap doors to feed the fish. Was open waters in St. Augustine.

They would eat anything thrown down to them. We threw down crab leg shells and they scarfed them up.

Fishers in northern Thailand netted this huge catfish in the Mekong River on May 1. Nearly nine feet long (2.7 meters) and as big as a grizzly bear, the behemoth tipped the scales at 646 pounds (293 kilograms). Experts say the fish, which belongs to the species known as the Mekong giant catfish, may be the largest freshwater fish ever recorded.

They have a place in myrtle beach called barefoot landing that has fish like that.

I just saw that Mekong catfish last night on some show called "Monster Fish"...I didn't know fish just keep growing 'til they die if they have enough food and room in their environment

Pretty cool show though...

Oh, and those guys that "noodle" for catfish are nuts...
